For a while, we thought we'd gotten the most serious baby ever, but now, when he is pleasantly surprised, like when he sees someone he really likes, his face lights up and he makes a full, open-mouthed smile.
This month he is getting steadier at sitting up with the occasional forward-leaning face-plant if we're not careful. This is good, because it will give his head a chance to even out from his favoring his right side so much when lying down.
He loves his toy butterfly and chewing on the bibs we put on him to wipe his drooly chin. He's slug-like, often leaving a trail of slime on those who hold him. It makes me think those teeth are coming out soon. I can wait to see his smile then.
